Goldie’s Quilt, a set on Flickr.
I’m proud to say that I’ve finally completed my very first quilting project—a baby quilt for Goldie Sheridan Levin, my daughter who is due to arrive December 15th, 2014. The quilting process was long and tedious, and would have been impossible without crafty bloggers and informative YouTube videos along the way. Here are some links that I found particularly helpful throughout this project:
Obsessive Quilter’s tutorial on basting a large quilt
Finishing A Quilt Parts 1, 2, and 3 by Jessica of Anita Goodesign
Another great source has been a book called Modern Log Cabin Quilting by Susan Beal. But the most invaluable component of all was the sewing lessons that were bestowed upon me by my friend and colleague, Yvonne Taylor. She is a fellow teacher who started me sewing with some after school tutorials that have gone on intermittently over the past 5 or 6 years.
